On 29 May 2026, Collett Wine Group (CWG) attended the Taste of South Australia Wine & Spirits Showcase at Hotel Indigo Guangzhou Haixinsha. Hosted by the Government of South Australia and organised by Wine magazine, the event brought together nearly 30 South Australian wineries and brand representatives, presenting a diverse selection of wines and spirits to the South China market.
CWG was pleased to be part of this Guangzhou showcase and to connect directly with importers, distributors, channel partners and trade professionals from the Greater Bay Area and wider South China region. The event offered a strong platform to highlight the depth of South Australia’s wine industry, from regional character and winemaking expertise to the commercial opportunities behind premium Australian beverage products.
For CWG, Guangzhou remains an important gateway into the Chinese market. The Greater Bay Area is dynamic, fast-moving and highly responsive to new consumer trends. Buyers are no longer looking only at origin or varietal; they are also paying close attention to product positioning, packaging direction, pricing structure, channel fit and long-term market potential.
Throughout the event, CWG held valuable discussions around South Australian wines, customised wine projects, OEM/ODM opportunities and emerging beverage categories. These conversations reinforced our view that success in today’s market requires more than supplying good wine. It requires products that are relevant to real consumption occasions, commercially practical for local channels, and clear enough for consumers to understand and repurchase.
The Guangzhou showcase also followed CWG’s participation in Vinexpo Asia 2026, forming part of a broader week of market engagement across Hong Kong and mainland China. Moving forward, CWG will continue to connect South Australian wine resources with evolving market demand, while supporting partners with flexible product development, reliable supply and market-ready beverage solutions.
CWG would like to thank the Government of South Australia, Wine magazine and all trade partners who joined the event. We look forward to continuing these conversations and exploring new opportunities for South Australian wine and innovative beverage products in China and beyond.
